Who We Are

"Love of Learning is the Guide of Life"

Picture
Old Main, University of Arizona
We have developed many social and educational programs over the years to encourage friendship among members and promote the ideals of liberal arts and sciences education.  Our greatest reward has come from establishing our high school and University of Arizona scholarship program.

The Association programs include providing scholarship funds to Tucson High School students and University of Arizona Students. These scholarships are awarded annually to those applicants selected because of their academic achievements and interest and commitment in pursuing a liberal arts education. For the academic year 2015-16, a total of $17,000 was awarded to students. Since inception, the association has awarded approximately $220,000 in student scholarships.

Graduating from college doesn't mean leaving behind your Phi Beta Kappa connections. The love of learning - and your Phi Beta Kappa membership - lasts a lifetime and so can your involvement with Phi Beta Kappa if you join one of over 50 alumni associations. Associations have been a part of the Phi Beta Kappa family since 1877 when the first association formed in New York City. We've built alumni bases in large and small communities since then, including London, the first international association since World War II.
